For Fathers Day this year I had to think outside the box. I am short on funds but I do have a lot of time on my hands! I made up a really short poem for my Dad a few Christmases ago and wrote it on the gift tag. A few weeks ago I had been in his study with him and he commented that he was looking for something to go on the wall above his desk. So I decided to knit him the poem and frame it for his pressie. You could knit any slogan or poem, the hardest bit is working out the lettering. I use grid paper and then map the letters and use that as my pattern. Here’s a pic of my finished gift:
